Heights Blog

README

Some notes about Heights Blog:

How It Works

  • Heights Blog encompasses hundreds of posts on places and things in the Heights area of Houston (defined broadly to include an area roughly bounded to the west and north by the 610 loop, to the east by Highway 45, to the south by Memorial Drive) – but is focused on the Heights proper.
  • The posts are not intended to be comprehensive of all places/things in the Heights area - but Heights Blog is almost always responsive to suggestions for new posts.
  • The posts include at least some basic information about each place/thing (e.g., an address), will often include a photo and/or links to additional information, and (with luck, in time) may also be supplemented by readers’ comments.
  • Posts that have been updated most recently – usually to link to new information, like a recent review or news story - will appear on the front page.

Photos

Some of the photos on Heights Blog are great, some not-so-great.  If you have a photo or photos that Heights Blog can use, send it along – your contribution would be welcome.  If you would like to use a photo on Heights Blog, and there is no third-party attribution given for the photo, you are welcome to use the photo with attribution to Heights Blog.

Post Dates

Many post dates on Heights Blog have been and will continue to be manipulated for various non-nefarious organizational purposes.

Walks/Rides

Clicking on a category listed under WALKS/RIDES does not bring up an actual proposed itinerary for a walk or ride, but does bring up a list of places/things on a given street or in a given area to help in planning your walk or ride.
